I’m from Gainesville just like Tom Petty and this is my song. This quote he said about the song really spoke to me. When I moved to New York this was part of the reason. I knew there was something bigger outside of that small town. Don’t get me wrong, I still love going back to visit but I totally identify with what Tom is saying (yeah, we’re on a first name basis…)
