I still get kind of amazed when she repeats a word I say. Every now and then she will say certain words. The other day R asked her if she wanted a pretzel. Maura exclaimed, “YI-A!” Right before I started filming this she dropped some of her macaroni on the floor, looked down at it, back up at me and said, “uh-oh.” The rest of this video is me repeating the word trying to get her to say it. It’s fascinating to me because I know she understands what we tell her, she is just trying to learn how to form the word. Right now she grunts a lot, like an adorable little baby monkey. She will grunt and point at certain things that she wants to eat, touch, hold, or feel. I could hang out with little mama all day, every day. Don’t even ask me how this nickname came to be but somehow it just fits.
