Whoever said, ‘Being a kid is magical. I miss that feeling of being a kid,” is a fucking idiot. I’m an adult! I can go to bed whenever I want! I can go jogging in neon short shorts and a sombrero and then drink a case of Simpler Times Ale from Trader Joe’s and eat a fuck ton of Chunky Monkey ice cream. I can look like a bad ass and get away with it! I can dress myself to look like a sex goddess! You can’t pull that shit off when you’re seven and missing half of your damn teeth. Look. Listen. I get it. We all want to be innocent. But where is the fun in that? I played Magic the Gathering and had pet rats when I was a kid. Back then I was a fucking loser, and kids pushed me around the playground. Now? I play Magic the Gathering, watch Pete and Pete like it never left the TV station, and all my pictures in my phone are OF my pet rat, and that’s a turn on? When did that happen? When was that shit that I got gum in my hair for suddenly cool? Let’s call a spade a spade, shall we? If I was wearing that outfit today rather then when I was six, I would not be an awkward ‘jazz dancer’, I would be an American Apparel model. And I would be popular, cool, and rich.
